Outreach

Habitat foHabitat for Humanityr Humanity: Area United Methodist Churches form a Joint Project.  Approximately eleven United Methodist Churches in this area joined to build a house at a new Habitat location in Edneyville. Volunteers built the frame in the Habitat Warehouse on Keith Street in Hendersonville. Crews of about 10 men and women worked Tuesdays in February and March.  Point of contact for Habitat for Humanity is Lee Fears.

 

Disaster Relief:  We provide disaster relief as we become aware of needs. Point of contact for Disaster Relief is Nelson Chandler.

Camp Tekoa:  This summer camp and conference center near Hendersonville, is operatedcamp-tekoa-logo by the Western NC Conference of the United Methodist Church. Our support includes financial, staffing and assistance with building projects. We hold our annual picnic at the camp.

Community Pay-It-Forward Yoga:  Most Friday’s at 10:00 a.m.! Free Yoga – the only payment is that you pay-it-forward! Each time you attend a class, pay-it-forward by doing a good deed in the community!
